EXPRESSIONS
Wakeful, I live in my dreams
as I taste another lustful cup,
savoring each precious droplet,
wagering my heart against your love.
I knew you once,
like this,
as I wrote our names in twinkling diamonds
across the black sky,
yet now,
weeping as a lamb for our spirits,
for we knew so little of life
and care,
and the measure of touch.
And I have only come to love this,
our views of the world
with so much wonder and joy,
beneath your hands,
for my life has taken you fully
into my dreams and drenched
your soul with my lips of thought.
So now we walk the earth alone,
treasures passing into nights alone
as only I seem to write of you
and my dreams and loving and these feelings--
and the nude breathy expressions
of that love.
