' LIFE A RIVER '
Life is like a river
Wandering through the land
Moments of calm assurance
Waging waters out of hand
An unknown destiny from birth
Through forest glades and desert sands
Choice, chance and the makers hand
Guide the way to my final worth
Around each bend
Lies something new
Each challenge faced
Brings hope renewed
I fight through muddy waters
Till the rivers clear again
Stop and gaze at my reflection
To see just where I've been
Although each turn I make
Through this lifes unknown maze
May bring sorrow, joy or fear
I am not afraid
For I know who sits above
He see's what i can't see
He knows what lies before me
And I rest upon his love
To guide me through lifes endless changes
I call upon his name
I reach out for His comfort
And guiding hand again
When *the circle of life* has ended
And before Him I do stand
He will know I've not been perfect
But I've done the best I can
