Blessings
Each morning when I wake
I take a deep breath, I drink it in
The warmth of the sun upon my face
and all the beauty that is displayed
Giving thanks for the gift of another day
To be able to live, breathe, laugh, and love
A resiliency to overcome strife,
for all the years as your wife
Enduring words in the stillness of the night
You have given me wings to take to flight
My Father in Heaven up above
Abundant blessings sent with love
Every morning, noon, and night
I see, hear, and smile in His light
As I go through the chores of the day,
I can do my work while I walk and pray
Knowing when I am weary and disheartened,
He gives me the strength
to continue onward trodden
For my friends who are faithful and dear,
I see your compassion and love so clear
As you offer from your hearts of gold,
You are a treasure to behold
You chase away the sadness, tears, and fears
Sunshine and laughter are always near
Lest, I forget you are angels in disguise,
leading in the darkest of my nights
My childrenwho are the hope of each new day;
knowledge and wisdom I continue to gain,
for all the lessons down life’s highway
So many treasures to be thankful for but,
with each new setting sun, you are but just one
