MY TIMELESS LOVE
The corners and crossroads
I must go through
The road untaken I must capture
So you & me... can finally be
In the future of our rapture
Just like the whispers in the wind
Our love blows the cottonwood blooms
planted on the plains of our future
Through the doorways of eternity's rooms
Stuck somewhere between time and space
Our love always looms...
I am writing you this love letter
to tell you just how much...
I remember, though it was long ago
I was so sensitive to your touch
Do you remember our childhood days
When I kissed you at the public pool
It was the first kiss... of too young in love
And you blushed as we walked home from school
We frolicked in my tree-house
We played hide & seek
Yes, we were the best of friends
As we ran through our lives unique
We got a little older
We went to the dance at our school
Our Friday night drop-ins...
Made us feel so cool
Young love... it was budding
We shared all that we dreamed
Our future proclaimed in front of us
Like eternity it seemed
But then you moved away
Your family took you so far
I never thought I'd see you again
'Til I got older... and got my first car
I drove up North to see you
Up by that Golden Gate
I had searched so long... just to find you again
Seemed forever... would it be too late?
