little looks

so many little looks
and names
and thoughts
we didn't even need to voice,
because those quick glances
and covered smiles
and smothered laughter
were enough.
oh,
I wish I had a snapshot
of everything we ever laughed about,
every good memory we've ever had,
and I'd glue them on the sky
so the whole world could see
what happy really is.
and maybe they'd laugh
and make lists
or try to escape from windows
too late at night
like we do.
maybe they'd dance around
and fight the demons just like we do.
maybe they'd be friends
just like we are.
just like we are.

(butterfly, my dear, i love you. and i shall miss you)
