Walk Into the Light

Do you see that light my child,
where angels wait with love?
Do you see that light my child?
It's a light from Heaven above.

Although I want to keep you,
wrapped up in my arms,
I know that heaven waits for you
and you'll be safe from harm.

I want to sit and share with you
the joy that comes with life,
to watch you grow and learn,
see the magic in your eyes.

But my wish cannot be granted,
at least not for a while,
so walk into that heavenly light,
my beautiful, precious child.

I'll cry for you when I'm alone,
yet I know your spirit's near,
for sometimes in the quiet night,
a breath erases my tears.

Do you see that light my child,
the light of Heaven's shore,
walk into that light and find
the home you left before.

And someday I will find you,
that light will guide me there.
I'll hold you in my arms again
and all our dreams we'll share.

The Lord takes many away, even in infancy, that they may escape the envy of man, and the sorrows and evils of this present world; they were too pure, too lovely, to live on earth; therefore, if rightly considered, instead of mourning we have reason to rejoice as they are delivered from evil, and we shall soon have them again.”
