You are the clouds that bring relief

Flickering hope in the darkness of my heart
I pray, never goes out
As the Nomad wanders
In desolation, so does my soul
My heart destined forever
To endure isolation from that
Which it yearns
Unwilling acceptance of
The lot that has been cast
Conceding to reality, to live in dreams
For my eyes see you when they are open
They see you, in my sleep
Separated by destiny
My heart feels your presence always
Though, I do not exist
That you never fade from my dreams
Is my constant longing
Painful though it be

A prisoner of fate
To live in subdued contentment
