THE TIME IS NEAR

The veil is growing thinner
and the time is coming near
when we’ll behold our Savior
while many hide in fear.

The signs are all around us,
we must wake up and see.
The enemy is beside us,
he lives in you and me.

The enemy of mankind
does not carry guns or knives,
he works upon our souls
to destroy our family life.

We must stand in holy places,
build not upon the sand,
we must gird our loins for battle
be prepared to take a stand.

The veil is growing thinner
and the time is coming near
when we’ll behold our Savior
while many hide in fear.

President Harold B. Lee, of
The Church of Jeus Christ of Latter Day Saints:
'Note carefully that . . . our most
deadly contest in life is not with human enemies
which may come with guns, with army tanks, or
bombing planes to destroy us, but that our eternal
struggle is with enemies which strike out of darkness
and may not be perceived by human senses.'
(Stand Ye In Holy Places, p.330)
