I will always remember truly that day
It was time for you to go He did say
When God called out your precious name
Yet, I didn’t want you to leave all the same
The Angels met you within a bright cloud
Gave you to wear a beautiful white shroud
To see all those witnesses so heavenly grand
Then they took you on away by the hand
You flew through those pearly gates for sure
Yet, I am still down here to faithfully endure
You listened to the stories of Saints new and old
Giving them some tales from your own fold
I can sense you are wishing I was with you there
Much you have seen, much you want to share
Walking the streets that are paved with pure gold
Seeing our Maker - what a wonder to behold
Though down here on this little planet earth
Pondering what is really an asset to my worth
I have this road that I have to follow still
Needing to surely do what is Gods Will
To be with you will be a marvelous sight
I am so ready to go - I will soon be in flight
My heart is hurting quite purposefully bad
These tears I cry show just how much I am sad
My soul misses the total essence of you
It cringes harshly of the pain still quite new
I love you from the depths of my heart
In Heaven, we will never ever again part
