WHERE DID IT ALL GO?

“No, you can’t come in here,
it’s private, go away.”
Oh, how my heart was crying,
when I read these words today.

I remember well another time,
when all were welcome here;
I remember so many friends,
who’ve gone to another sphere.

I wonder what they’d think
if they could see the change;
I wonder if, like me, they’d cry
and think this awfully strange.

My cozy ‘other home’
has become a different place;
and now when I stop by,
I don’t recognize it’s face.

“No, you can’t come in here,
it’s private, go away.”
Oh, how my heart was crying,
when I read these words today.
