Together Forever

Dedicated, with much love, to my wonderful
husband, Jack.

“You are truly blessed to have found me.” he said.
She then looked at him with a grin.
“With me you have learned to be humble,
for we struggle sometimes to meet ends.

You might have gone off with a rich man,
traveling off to many new places,
you wouldn’t have ever worried again,
and could dress in the finest of laces.”

She smiled again as she looked in his eyes,
for she knew she was meant to be here;
and though they didn’t have money or fame,
she had someone who dried all her tears.

In his arms she at last had found true love,
someone who would love her for life,
who always accepts her the way she is,
and is happy that she is his wife.

Soon they will go to the temple,
where their vows will be for all time,
together they’ll walk through eternity,
together their mountains they’ll climb.

And someday they’ll have that great mansion
when they’ve conquered life’s many trials.
And there they will rest from their cares,
and there they will always have smiles.

'Familes Can Be Forever'

In 'The Family: A Proclamation to the World,'
the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
[for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints]
proclaim that 'marriage between a man and a woman
is ordained of God and that the family is central to the
Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children.
' When a man and woman are married in the temple,
their family can be together forever.
This is a common goal of Latter-day Saints.
