A SMILE A DAY

I was to go for a blind date
And wanted to look cool
Bought a colour for my hair
To improve my personal look
There was not much time to think
The blind date for the evening was set
Opened the box with the colouring kit
And begin to work with my hair
Naturally brown wanted to have it blond
With the time that I had on hands
The hair colour in a short time
It turned to an orange shade.

Was thinking what to do
How to correct the mistake
With this hair that is an orange now
I panicked, not knowing any other way
The date was set for seven o’clock
On that unfortunate day
Time was running short, but me
Taking chances put my best dress on
And the high heels too, a little makeup
On my face to improve self confidence
Also to cover up the mess
With the ugly looking hair
Finally with a smile, off I went
For my awaiting surprise, the blind date.

A middle age woman was I
At that time of this terrible mishap
You can imagine a look like a punk, oh well
Drove to the meeting place time will tell
Not knowing what to expect
My blind date, a handsome man
Already waiting at the coffee shop
We greeted each other in a nice way
He looked at me with a grin on his face
Never said a word to me, but I knew
When I saw his big eyes wide open
It was not a good sign, to my dismay
After having a cup of tea
We departed in a good fate
But this was the last time I saw my blind date.
