Barefoot And Beautiful

Country girl, rest awhile in the solitude
Of this warm summer night.
Listen to the sounds of God's tiny creatures
Beneath twinkling stars, silver-bright.

Close your eyes and meditate
While a soft wind begins to blow.
In the solitude of the summer evening,
You can hear the corn stalks grow.

Country girl you have it all.
The glories of nature in grand array.
Your's for the taking-yours to enjoy
Offering new beauty with the light of day.

Your world is barefoot and beautiful,
With wildflowers pinned in your hair.
Country girl, this beauty is yours.
Thank the Lord every day in prayer.
