Falling Tears   I received a phone call Telling me to come Right away I could not believe What this person Had to say They said this is the hospital We have your sister here And I was moved Moved to tears By the next words I would hear They said my baby sister Had been shot And I needed to get there As fast as I could Thirty miles away Is what I was I don’t recall The drive at all I walked in that hospital Filled with fear Not knowing what I would see Or hear The priest met me That scared me\right away I though my sister, had already passed Away He said follow me I’ll take you there It seemed to take for ever To get to her room I needed to see her And talk to her too Saw I her I did And I talked to her too But she never open her eyes Not even one more time I begged her please Just open your eyes Fight sister Fight for your life The Doctor came And pulled me aside Said we did all we could Your sister Will die I screamed and cried Pleaded and begged Please this is my sister She has to be saved She’s so young Don’t let her die Please I beg you Give everything One more try He said I’m so sorry The bullet you see Is lodged near her brain There’s nothing to do If she survived She’d not be the same For hours I stood there Right by her side Holding her hand As tears filled my eyes How do I do it How do I let go How do I tell her It’s okay To go How do I watch As my sister dies The pain I felt Was killing me Inside I kissed her cheek I held her hand Said it’s okay sis I understand God needs an Angel An Angel like you So he called you home I’ll miss you I love you my sister This is killing me inside But go on sweetheart Spread your wings And fly Free Verse challenge And I Was Moved By badmac © 2008 badmac (All rights reserved)
