THE FIREWORKS

The mighty fireworks
exploding up the sky
shaking the mutitudes
whose eyes sheer lighting irks,
in a symphony of hues
multicolor the night
on the Fourth of July
across the entire land
and thunderously sound
like kettledrums around
beaten by dextrous hands
under God's magic wand.
The final aplause tells
of descrescendo swells
as orphaned of Joy's light
dons in shadows the night!
