Distant Dreams
We all have a distant dream we want to come true.
Sometimes following that dream is entirely up to you.
You may find obstacles and hurdles in your way.
But the love of our family and friends always help us along the way.
Sometimes in life the strong winds may prevail.
At times it isn't important if you win or you fail.
It is knowing that you did the best you could too.
It is finding that courage and strength inside of you.
Try and see the beauty that is inside of you each day.
I think that the key thing is believing in yourself along the way.
It isn't in life for others to always decide.
It is focusing on your dreams and it is what you feel about yourself inside
Sometimes you have one chance now it's gone
As you do you best to try and carry on
At times in life the winds may seem bitterly cold
Not ever knowing how your life is going to unfold
You hear the rushing sound of water around you feet
In your chest the quickening sound of your own heartbeat
What matters most is how you feel about yourself looking in the mirror each day
To focus on your dreams that you want to achieve along the way
For it is unimportant what others think of you
For in the end it is to yourself that you must be true
For time will sift quickly through the hour glass each day
One chance and now it's gone if you don't follow your hopes and dreams today
