The Honeymoon Trip
It all started at our wedding day party
I wanted to stay and dance (which I don't do)
And he had his thoughts that we are already tardy
(No need to explain...it will come to you soon)
That was just the first night out of the way
So with a little money in our budget
We went to the 'The Breakers' at Cedar Point to stay
(Now who in their right mind would choose
an amusement park for their honeymoon...
Two young kids of course)
It was the year the 'Demon Drop' opened
The fastest thrill ride in town
Shot you straight up out over a ledge
Then they dropped you quicker down
(Left your stomach nowhere to be found)
But we kept getting in line
Riding it over and over...time after time
It was time to leave for home just a few hours away
When we got home everyone asked how was your day
I piped up loudly and said
'The best 15 seconds of the honeymoon was the ride!'
Everyone roared with laughter
It went straight over my head
They didn't know whether to console my husband
for the 15 second ride or not
I still haven't lived that one down :O)
