Rejection of a Friend

My friend confesses to me,
Of her love being rekindled.
She tells of her sad wait for darkness,
And how her hope has dwindled.

She says she wants to touch me,
And fill in for my lovely bride.
That my persona somehow thrills her,
And warms her deep inside.

Alas, the past has not changed,
And I will stay true to my word.
No temptation have I succumbed to,
No better offer have I heard.

I will give her only advice,
Of how she should fight for each day of life,
And reinforce all of my words,
Of how I truly love only my wife!
