Here I sit at work
Just twiddling away my thumbs
Cause of all the speculation
I sit here..speculatin
Cause we haven’t run oil
Through this place in eight months
I am still getting paid
But..for how long? is the question
So I am thinking..ok..what now?
Maybe I should buy some land
Move outta town and buy a cow
Then to that cow I could hitch a plow
I could milk the cow
Make milk, butter and cheese
Get my veggies by tillin the ground
Dang!! sounds hard on my knees
Get some yard birds for some eggs
Chop some wood to build a fire
Maybe a pig for some bacon
And eat the birds that sit there fakin
I won’t be annoyed by that blasted T.V.
Cause there won’t be no electricity
Aint it amazing thinking bout this
In the 21st CENTURY
Gas is so high folks wanna cry
I hear politicians say
I’ll fix it if I get my way
Makes me just sit and sigh
Now!! From them stone age genuises
We need our independence
But!! We can’t drill here
And we can’t drill there
Cause it won’t look perty
And they are concerned about the
Caribou and the polar bear
Seems to me the ice is melting anyway
And the bears can always move
Remember them lil spotty owls in the trees?
What happened to them..Ummmmm!!!
They U-HAULED it to some other trees
And are happy as can be
The caribou have better sex
Around the warm pipelines and green grass
And that makes lots more lil boos!!
And more food for the Eskimos
To me it’s a bunch of blubber
OOPS!! Pardon the whale pun
Alternative fuel is good indeed
Twenty or thirty years down the road
But what’s our immediate need
So DRILL!!

Don’t we need oil to get us there?

I guess they care more bout the polar bear
Stead of us
Animals and nature learn to adapt
While we just sit around and get slapped
That’s all those creatures need
