Casanova

~~~~~
Casanova slithers from one to the next like a serpent.
Nature abhors a vacuum but not in the case of his mind.
Unable to choose, Casanova decides he wants them all,
and each new love is always, always, always the forever love.
Casanova's riddling words are grandiose, flamboyant and convincing.
He orates and pens manifestos of twaddle attesting to his undying love.
But then, it only takes a shift of one degree in either direction,
and he finds another love, a better love, the best love yet.
Watch a child on Christmas morning playing with his toys at Mach 10.
First this one. Then that one. Then the next, and the next.
Rip, rip, tear, tug, push, pull, smash, grab, yank and then boo hoo.
The child plays the toys into the ground until there is nothing left.
Fast forward to Casanova playing with his women at Mach 10.
First this one. Then that one. Then the next, and the next.
Rip, rip, tear, tug, push, pull, smash, grab, yank and then boo hoo.
He pounds their hearts into the ground until there is nothing left.
Casnova necessarily has another love waiting in the wings
because he knows that this creamy and delicious
flavor of the month will not last.
He has already taken pains to guarantee it.
His bold declarations of love and caring are nothing more
than rewrites of the same scripted sicky-sweet treacle,
punctuated by the boasts and wailings of a whore in heat.
It happens with woman after woman after woman ad nauseum.
An aggregation of broken hearts and flimsy fabrications is his legacy
as he stumbles ahead, addicted to (your answer here) as if it was crack.
Casanova will never experience love that is fulfilling, honest and complete
because he is an unctuous emotional retard who lacks a conscience.
The diagnoses for his relentless, bizarre and absurd behaviors
would probably take up at least half of the DSM-IV.
At one time I found psychopaths like Casanova
to be interesting clinical case studies.
Now they just chap my hide
because they have the utter gall to behave like victims.
Victims of what? Of whom?
They are victims of themselves and only themselves.
If Casanova had multiple personality disorder,
I wonder if he could sue himself for breach of ethics
or emotional racketeering or, maybe,
for just being a complete candyass.
