Gift of a child   When a baby enters, This world, comes into your life They look at you With trusting eyes They look at you For all of their needs From the time they are born Until they earn their wings They need love and compassion Patience and understanding too They need unconditional Love from you They need encouragement And told a job well done Kids love to hear Good things From their dad and mom The need a safe place to live A warm and happy home They need a mom and a dad To teach them right From wrong They need you to Sing them lullabies Tuck them into bed at night With kiss and a hug, Goodnight They need to know God And have him in their lives They need to say their prayers Each and every night They need to be told They can be Anything They want to be And told to always Follow their dreams They need to know They can always come, To you No matter what, They can count On you They need to be told When they’ve done, Something wrong With a firm But caring loving voice They need to never Know fear Or pain in their lives The kind of pain That hurts deep inside The pain of abuse Of any form Should be something, your child Never knows Remember They are more precious Then diamonds or gold A child needs Three meals a day A warm safe environment In which to grow and play What a child needs most Is to be loved everyday Told they matter In everyway Needs Of a Child Challenge By badmac © 2008 badmac (All rights reserved)
