Whispers Of Motherly Love.

There is a girl online
who adopted me as her Mother
five years ago now
when she was deeply troubled and down.

Her own Mother was one whom
never cared about her daughter
leaving this poor girl buried
in a sea of emptiness.

I took her in as my own online
getting to know her ins and outs
and would be there whenever
she called on me for help.

She was only 13 back then
and lovingly called me Mama
to which I felt the strongest bond
as I had truly grown to love her.

From a troubled and very down Teen
she flourished with me standing by her
giving her advice, and all
she needed in a Mother.

We would even speak on the phone
and like my own, I sent her gifts
becoming part of each other
in a true family way.

I encouraged her daily to see herself
as the beautiful girl she was
and to continue her studies
as I had the utmost faith in her.

She listened to all I said
and always took my advice
saying Momma always know best
and that I was her Mother.

She took on my own children as her siblings
and would refer to them as family
whenever speaking of anything
to do with relatives.

I will never forget the day
she made me cry so hard
when she told me she truly wished
I was her real Mother.

She is 18 years old today
and a most beautiful young woman
having achieved a graduation with honors
and doing well for herself.

We keep in contact often
and she always refers to me as Mom
and that alone for me
is thanks enough in life.
