Sad Goodbye to Granny K

My dearest memory of you Granny K will be,
The day that you cared for me.
You and I had many a day in and day out,
With feelings we did spill in as we fought.

You and I both knew it didn't mean love less,
It only meant we loved more in the mess.
Your C Difficile x2 took you home to heaven true,
But know that all of us here still constantly love you.

In your 90th year many people don't get to see,
I would love to be at that age before God comes for me.
But I know he had a bigger plan up there for you to do,
And I am so glad in this time I got to know you.

My dearest Granny K I say sad goodbyes to Scotland's brave,
I knew you were loved by many a soul who would never trade.
For the smile that you left engraved in our hearts,
I will remember the days forevermore had you not part.

So Granny love even though I may have not cried on your funeral day,
I knew you were sent to Grandpa and everyone else in the heavens to pray.
We will remember the days of light and love,
And I'm grateful to know you are smiling at me from above.

RIP
Granny K. June 2008
