In Memory

In Memory
by randy guilhas

Lanai at dawn.
Muesli, juice and coffee.
Zany conversations of blueberry healings.
Faintly, a radio whispers Blue Hawaii.
In perfect memory of Elvis, eyes twinkle.
She remembers, the song
but not her name.

a butterfly flits
uncertain from bloom to bloom
who once was a rose
