Whooshed and Swooshed!
The butterfly started a brand new day,
Spread its wing and flew away,
Gathered some nectar pure and sweet,
Sailed in the sun, the thrill was neat.
Then a car came barreling down,
Bug splattered windshield a mighty frown;
Doing seventy-five it pierced the air,
And the little butterfly could only stare.
The car went by with a great big whoosh,
Missed by a pinch our friend went swoosh;
Caught in the wind and tumbling away,
He was all shook up and heard to say,
Wow! What a Day!
Almost eaten by a Chevrolet!
