Lost yet found
Just when I thought
All was lost
I reopened my eyes
And realized
Things were not as bad
As they first seemed
I can overcome this
The things
That I’ve been through
If I have the strength
And courage
I can pull through
I have stumbled,
and I have fallen down
But I just have to pick myself
Up off of the ground
Dust myself off
And start walking
Again
I have to hold my head up proudly
Not walk looking at the ground
Chase away the frown
I wear on my face
And replace it with a smile
Then I can face
Whatever it is that life
Has thrown at me
Yes
I can overcome this too
It’s all up to me
I can choose
To walk around
Sad broken hearted and blue
Or I can do something,
to make it better
That is what
I plan to do
I can look around and see
So many have it
Much worse
Than me
I should be thankful
For what I have
And not complain
About what I don’t
I can change my life around
And I can do it on
My own
Just when I thought
All was lost
I reopened my eyes
To see
That things were not as bad
As they first seemed
To be
