I saw you last night
I just happened to awake
Middle of the night
There you were
Just waiting patiently
You knew I'd been crying
So you knew not to leave me
There were tears on my pillow
I knew you were alarmed
I felt you wipe my face tenderly
Then you held me in your arms
I'm so glad God let me
Get a glimpse of you this time
I think He knew I needed that
His angel - you - and mine
I've always felt your presence
I feel when you are there
I hear you gently say, 'Amen'
As I finish up my prayer
I never feel alone since I
Found that you stayed near
I know that I am truly loved
That you are always right here
Today had been a sad day
I layed in anguish there
Tears covered my pillow
But you said 'not to fear'
You bid me to get up
Just take a walk around
In moments I was back in bed
No tears could e'en be found
She told me not to cry now
For she would come anytime - just call
I think that God hand picked her
