Eternal Blindness

Gone are the days of yesterday,
only today we see.
Lost in twilight we long to play,
hidden beneath the tree.
Treasures from Gods gone forever,
life bleeds victims of need.
Hopes lost, many, never,
holding on to a pot of greed.
Sliced with daggers, dead to the touch,
breaths cold voice heard no more.
Walls in place held with wooden crouch,
greener forbidden lore.
Achilles heel forevermore,
Love's eternal blindness.
Into your dreams I fall once more,
lying on the forest floor.
Stories retold with me and you,
adventures so adore.
