Morning Song

A melody keeps going 'round and 'round
Here in my sleepy head.
A songbird's beautiful morning song
Pulls me right out of bed.

I must hurry to find where he is hiding.
I wonder, Is it in my willow?
Now the sun's just peeking through
Her fluffy cloud-pillow.

She,too, has been awakened by the melody
Of a songbird's beautiful morning song.
I know I'll be humming that melody
All the day long.

I wish that I could find his hiding place.
There is so much I would wish to convey.
I'd start out by thanking him
For brightening up my day.
