the sun, the moon, and the stars

Artwork by Erin Ross 'Time for Tomorrow'

my skin is gloriously bathed
in the golden warmth of the sun

drops of dawn kiss my lips

butterflies dance on enchanted stones
as I teeter on the edge of a smiling cloud

the wind whispers to me - -
telling me you will wait for me tonight
elusively
when i see the stars

rose petal seconds luxuriously become
twinkling star hours
as the man on the moon
stands watch....

and I sigh a rainbow
tween the sun and the moon and the stars.
