Shores of time kissed by tears
I lay passive in my self made bed of thorns
Till like a prince in shining Armour
You entered my dreams with your innate humor
Called me beautiful
And made me smile
Reminded me of my lost love
Made me ferret my belongings in my alcove
Till time transformed you stood
Before my eyes; my heart's hero personified
I wiped away the present clean
Till no traces in my eyes were seen
And waded the lanes of past once again
trying to recall.........
Why? oh why my heart tugged
Why I felt out of breath and rugged....
You merciless teased away my tears
I grew inches in your merciless teasing
Inner truths uncovered
And from my bed of thorns got up; recovered....
Recovered my lost self confidence
my desire to live at all
To search for my lost friend
Who had unknowing sown seeds of love his end
Each dawn held meaning
Each breath of life a reason
For every nerve and sinew longed
As if to him alone it belonged
Shores of time kissed by tears
His coming in search of me wiped off the fears.......
Twenty four years had simply passed by
But my longing to be held close still unchanged; I sigh..........
