Sometimes I Miss You

Sometimes I miss you...

When I say goodbye
to the longest day
walls sing their song
of ennui
while rubber tree leaves float by - -
lonely travelers
in today's sudden lake

Yes, when day dreams
morph into night dreams
and flooded streets magically dry
my heart still feels
the sweet ache
of missing you

Truth is, mon amour
more than just
sometimes
I miss you
