Shores Of Time
There are lessons to be learned
In almost everyday of living
You learn who you can and can't trust
Who truly is a friend to you
Who will really and truly always be there
To some, those are just words
To them, those words don't mean a thing
There are too many shores of time kissed by tears
I guess I must be crazy, because
I take them all right to my heart
And, when I give those very same words
They are words I really and truly do mean
It's not that I have to have someone
For I have made it all these years alone
It's just that it would be nice to have someone
I must admit, I haven't always been strong
Still, I managed all on my own
Sometimes, the load just seems too heavy
It would really be nice sometimes
To have someone there to share that heavy load
