I LOVE HOW YOU LOVE ME
Has it ever crossed your mind
That in just a few short words
You can make someone's life complete
The best words ever heard
Some use them all too meaningless
Giving out a message that's not clear
For do not say 'I love you'
Because it's something you think one
wants to hear
There should be meaning in those words
Such meaning that the heart would soar
And the one receiving them will know
They've never heard them said that way
before
Three little words, but they can make
A lifetime of love for two to share
But if said as a passing whim
What a waste for someone who cares
Don't break the hearts that love you
Treat them as treasures and gold
Before you know it - you'll be alone
All alone, unloved and so very old
Love makes the darkest day brighter
It makes the heart smile and then sing
Just think, before saying these words,
Is it truly the message you bring
I saw a young couple not long ago
Just lying in the meadow watching the sky
I could remember the same kind of love
When I was young and oh so very shy
Picking out pictures out of the clouds
Perhaps even looking for words
Enjoying just being together again
Watching the flights of the birds
Did he say 'I love you' - well, after awhile
And the memories I will carry my life
He's walking with God in the Heaven's now
But I still hear him saying, I love you, my wife
