Answer to a Riddle

The Riddle is....

In marble walls as white as milk.
Lined with skin as soft as silk.
Within a fountain crystal clear.
A golden apple doth appear.
No doors there are to this strong hold.
Yet thieves break in and steal the gold.

the Answer is

The golden apple found within
is just a chick that might have been.
The marble walls are an egg's hard shell,
there really is no more to tell.
This is no joke, the whites and yolk are found inside an egg.
Tell me, please, if I guessed it right..Do I have to beg?

hehehe

got one for you

I can sizzle like bacon,
I am made with an egg,
I have plenty of backbone, but lack a good leg,
I peel layers like onions, but still remain whole,
I can be long, like a flagpole, yet fit in a hole.

What am I?
