On Living With Grey

Mile Marker MCCCLII

Pantoum Verse

Nothing but solemn scars remain,
tomorrow's love for yesterday.
Coexisting pleasure and pain,
alliance with possible grey.

Tomorrow's love for yesterday,
one heartbeat shares conflicting view.
Alliance with possible grey,
question if understanding true.

One heartbeat shares conflicting view,
when sun and moon eclipse the sky.
Question if understanding true,
surprise can be an alibi.

When sun and moon eclipse the sky,
dangerous circles compromise.
Surprise can be an alibi,
fate found under chosen disguise.

Dangerous circles compromise,
divide the powers yet to be.
Fate found under chosen disguise,
just for an instant victory.

Divide the powers yet to be,
seeping wounds of darkness still bleed.
Just for an instant victory,
no longer trust a diamond's need.

Seeping wounds of darkness still bleed,
honest intent too late receive.
No longer trust a diamond's need,
mirrors of midnight still believe.

Honest intent too late receive,
coexisting pleasure and pain.
Mirrors of midnight still believe,
nothing but solemn scars remain.
