Looking Back Through The Years

Two elderly gentlemen
Deep in conversation
Reminiscing of days gone by,

Spoke of their lost youth,
Spoke of their true loves.
Each with a sparkle in his eye.

Claiming no regrets,
They both agreed
Fate had dealt them winning hands.

Their finances were intact.
Their health was good.
They had realized their dreams and plans.

I listened to these two old gents
And saw them becoming fast friends.
I could hear the deep trust and elation.

I'm not one for eves-dropping
But, I'm so glad that I overheard
their heartwarming conversation.
