Was It Just Pretense   We were high school sweethearts, Nothing could tear us apart. We spoke sweet words of love. You pledged to me your heart. My whole world was filled with you. You were my every breath. On our wedding day, we said 'I Do'. And said the words, until death. Then you changed and things went wrong. I was so lost, had no defense.
