Grounded
Dear Diary I am so annoyed
believe me, I'm not overjoyed.
I'm more than just a little vexed
and I'm even quite perplexed.
Mom got mad at me today
and this is what she had to say.
'Why do you torment your brother?
Why do you grumble at each other?
Bicker, bicker all day long
why can't you two just get along?
I harangue and I criticize
yet it does no good to no surprise.'
I said 'Mom, don't fret it,
I think that I get it.
It's just it's hard to get along
with a brother who's always wrong.
He's always in a wrangle
looking for the perfect angle.
and he always pesters me
to come and play when I'm busy.
He says I annoyed him
when I tried to avoid him.
I've had enough entirely
of his whiny company!'
Mom got quite upset with me.
I'm grounded for eternity
until and when I change my mood
and readjust my attitude!
