Finale
the world trembles
as the planet tumbles
'round a star that grows
ominously quiet.
our best minds tell us that
something's amiss
as our planet
continues to riot.
The soothsayers shout
that our time has run out
and our future holds nothing
but sorrow and doubt.
So what can we do
to help us get through
these dire conditions
we're plagued with?
Shall we turn to our myths
and pray for a gift
that an almighty saviour
will save us?
Or just all take a breath
and continue to dance
as 2012 brings
Armageddon or chance.
For what can be done
we can't hide or run
if the power of IS says it's over.
So let's look to the sky
and watch with a sigh
if our star does a grand super nova!
