He Saved A Wretch Like Me

It was on this same night many years ago that the Lord showed Himself to me.
It was right after I had been beaten and left for dead that He appeared, and said.
After, I struggled. Saying the Lord’s Prayer remembering it from when I was a child.
Now a woman that had turned wild,
My life spiraling down,
A princess without a crown,
Left everyone with a frown,
The Lord looked at me and said.
Daughter, let me rescue from this life of sin, I can set you free and place
You upon a rock where no one will ever be able to reach you,
Or ever hurt you again!
There was power in those words.
There was power in that prayer.
It was the Lord’s Prayer.
You could say that I was caught by the Lord’s hand
Who had plans for my life!
I wasn’t meant to be a broken wife.
Living a life filled with strife,
Running from a drugged madman carrying a knife
Ready to take my life!
The Lord began each day placing a rock until it became a hill.
The hill became a mountain that would mill
And till all the loose gravel until I was firmly placed
Upon a mountain to set the pace
For others to let them know the race
Isn’t over as long as you have grace
That Amazing Grace that saved a wretch like me.
Can also save a wretch like you!

God is such an amazing God that He sent His one and only Son Jesus to
die for us, so that whoever believes in Him will not parish but have
ever lasting life.

All we have to do is ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins
and ask Him to be the Lord of our Life's!
What are you waiting for?
He already paid the price!

Jesus loves me yes I know for the Bible tell me so, little ones to Him belong,
they are weak but He is strong,
Yes! Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so!
