INFECTIOUS LAUGH

She made me giggle she made me laugh
A little child of love so pure,
I wanted to pick her up and cuddle her
But I knew that would make me weep for sure.

For this little child never had no arms
To put around my neck to hold me tight,
She had such an infectious laugh
She really was fun and a pure delight.

She made me feel secure and wanted
More alive than I have been for many years,
This sweet child alone had made me happy
Her personality gave me confidence to face my fears.

As I looked into her beautiful blue eyes
She seemed to know of the saddness in my life,
I'm not one to tell everybody of my troubles
But I could tell by her speaking eyes she knew my strife.

She made me laugh she made me cry
She gave me a strange feeling we had met before,
Lucy her name, she was an angel of three years old
She certainly cured my blues, her love was the cure.

We never had any children it didn't work out as we planned
Lucy has never forgotten us she changed our lives with her love,
Now she is grown she comes to visit and we treat her as our own
We will always be thankful for Lucy and thank the good lord above.
