It was to be
my way
within the
shadows
of despair
as became
aware
of the magic
from above
clear across
the Milkyway
of love
as wished
upon a star
for someone
such as you,
and I too
longed~~~~~
for a sweetest
love indeed
forevermore
within a need
in needs,
'n that I
would find
what magic does
from the universe
of stars above,
seen through
the telescope
of love
that blazed
a trail
to pause
within another
world
a hurled~~~~~
through time
and space
within a vision
of your face.
Somewhere
someone
way
out there
stared~~~~
at the stars
and longed
for someone
just as me,
someone
known
as good
and true
as I dared
to believe
that I could
really wish
for all my
dreams
come true,
and to
wish upon
a star
so far
away.
