The Garden of My Life

How can it be that my garden
Springs forth with life anew
From the time of the planting
Till the harvesting is through

Rows of beautiful flowers
With fragrance heavenly
Or maybe many vegetables
To feed my family

But amid all of the the beauty
There can be times of pain
Many days of dryness
Desperately needing rain

For each there is a season
A time that's meant to be
It sometimes takes some pruning
To make my life what it should be

There is one thing I am sure of
Amid all the sin and strife
Jesus is the master gardener
In the garden of my life
