Laughter Heals

Raucous gales of laughter
do not mean you're going crazy,
though your reasons may be 'iffy'
and your motives seem quite hazy.

Laughter for no reason obvious
could lift the spirits of a boulder.
Better than crying in your beer
or blubbering all over my shoulder.

'Laugh and the world laughs with you,
cry and you cry alone'
This well-worn cliched epithet
places sadness in a no-go zone.

So, if I seem quite crazy,
join me in the laughter.
Who cares what others think of you
and you'll feel much better...after!
