Dangerous Deception

The daring daredevils drove up the driveway to disaster.
Drinking, driving and drugs drove them to do dreaded deeds
That they dumbly dared to do.
Dazed , delirious and drugged
They dragged drunkenly out of their
dirty ,diesel driven ,dodge Dakota.
Into the dreary, darkened denseness of the forest deep,
that didn't dare divulge the disaster that lay
deceived in the direction of their decent.
The demanding drudgery of their descent drained their energy,
making the dampness of the dew drip off of their dehydrated faces.
Descending deeper they went ,danger daunting deadly just ahead in the density of the darkened deep .
They didn't determine the distance from the dangerous drop lurking in the direction that they traveled.
Now on the edge of disaster, a distraction deterred their direction.
Disoriented , they dispersed in different directions.
Dropping down in the dirt in desperate need of rest, they slept.
The dawning of the new day divulged to the daring daredevils
the dangerous deception of driving, drinking and drugs to achieve their almost disastrous deluge of desire for adventure.
