Life Goes By
Sitting quietly by the window
I see the giant trees
and all the leaves
will eventually
drift
slowly with the winds.
Another year almost gone
makes me wonder how
fast life goes by...
another leaf,
another year
another birthday almost here.
I sit and feel I too am fading
along with the seasons,
waiting till my time is up
and hope that I have done
my best...
until God takes me home
to rest...
