Cowboy Ever After

Tanned with muscles well defined
His silhouette leaned against the fence
Watching the horses, drawn to their presence
His desire to gallop in freedom with them
These magnificent and regal creatures

So few can capture this cowboy's heart
His thoughts wrapped up in the next ride
The dust rising up from pounding hooves
Sweat rolls down under a blazing hot sun
And there's no place he would rather be

Every cowboy gets a bit lonely though
Cold nights spent alone beneath the stars
He craves companionship of a cowgirl
One who understands a passionate heart
With just one look can complete his soul

When our paths crossed after the sun set
We couldn't deny the passion that ensued
Broken spirits renewed beneath velvet skies
Emerging as partners meant to be as one
Then just like Butch and Sundance we'll ride
Until the dawn breaks to reveal our ever after
