Only Son
Dear God, I know that you know,
Exactly how I feel.
We both have only sons,
That we love a great deal.
Your Son had to leave you for awhile,
When He gave His life for me.
Now my son has to go to war,
To keep our country free.
Please watch over and protect.
My prayer is that your will be done.
I know that you will keep your hand,
Upon my only son.
So, Lord, help me to have the faith,
To trust and never doubt.
For I know, deep within my heart,
That you will bring him out.
