Turn Off the Flow
We often run off with the mouth,
Words pour from the heart
Over the tongue
And out it comes,
Just because we think it
We don’t need to speak it;
The tongue can kindle a fire,
And the embers glow,
We need to learn how to,
Turn off the flow.
The tongue is a little member
But from it evil can grow,
You judge me; I judge you,
And on and on it goes.
We try to remove specks from
The eyes of others,
But do not remove the logs
In our own.
If we love life,
And want to see good days,
We need to speak less,
Listen more,
Study to be quiet,
And be humble in all our ways.
To accomplish this we need to,
Turn off the flow.
